It offers complete client management, from invoice management to payment concerns to email sequence, all in one software. Problem Statement
There are multiple small and medium-sized businesses, agencies, and freelancers, but no software that would cater to their needs. The founders wanted to solve this problem and create exclusive software that would accommodate the need for SMEs and agencies. So, Yusuf, Clnto's founder, embarked on a journey to introduce ‘Clnto’ to the world. Partnering with us at Momentum91, they created a top-notch CRM that is used by businesses in 90+ countries.

Product designing
Our talented designers designed Clnto’s entire CRM. In the designing phase, our focus was on crafting an insightful CRM experience for businesses. We designed both an app and web version for clients to have a user-friendly experience. The admin panel was developed to offer maximum customization based on different business needs and requirements. For the mobile app version, our aim was to enhance client satisfaction and lead them towards efficient tracking to attract new customers.

Product engineering
Our dedicated team at Momentum91 developed Clnto’s CRM. From creating a robust backend to integrating top APIs, our objective was to offer an automated workflow experience to Clnto users. This involved efficient data processing, integrating lead forms, automating workflows, and real-time updates. Advanced APIs and workflows were integrated to enable a streamline sales pipeline, email sequencing, and client management, and an in-built AI to write email prompts was integrated, reflecting Clnto—software suited for any sales flow.

Technical challenges we faced while developing Clnto.
- Developing the custom document maker for invoices and proposals.
One of the primary challenges we faced was to ensure the platform could handle various types of content blocks, including text, images, tables, and dynamic blocks such as pricing tables and signature fields. For that, we had to develop a custom document maker, which could allow users to customize the templates based on their requirements. Thus, enabling custom fields and merging personalizing fields was a bit of a challenge. Moreover, making the template available for future use posed another challenge that our developers triumphed over.
- Building the mailbox with 2-way sync & calendar integration
Another major hurdle was to integrate a seamless 2-way sync mailbox. The mail box had to support both email and calendar synchronization for Google and Outlook work emails. Our team faced the challenge of integrating OAuth service providers for Google and Outlook, ensuring that user data was securely verified and consented to while complying with data privacy requirements. Additionally, we implemented the Nylas API to allow for the real-time synchronization of both email inboxes and calendar events. This included the ability to compose, view, and manage emails, as well as integrate calendar events, all while maintaining smooth synchronization across platforms.
- Workflow automation for different time zones.
Clnto’s clientele was from different countries and time zones. And one of the prominent features that we wanted to add was time-zone-enabled workflow. We had to create several windows for different time zones so that the email could specifically be sent in the particular time zone that was selected. For that, we had to consider the varying office hours and calculate appropriate scheduling windows to ensure tasks were dispatched at the correct times, based on user-configured office hours. Consequently, after several trials and testing, we developed a system that effortlessly handled step-by-step task dispatching with precise timing for each lead or customer.
